Welcome to the new site
A short note on why I rebuilt kay-rottmann.de from scratch.
This is the first post on the rebuilt version of kay-rottmann.de.
Why a rebuild
The old site had grown stale, and I wanted something that:
- loads fast on any device
- is easy to update by just writing Markdown
- respects my visitors’ privacy by default - while also enabling me to use analytics which I can use in my lectures
Stack
The new site is built with Astro, styled with Tailwind, and uses Klaro for GDPR-compliant cookie consent with Google Consent Mode v2.
